PREFIX PARAGRAPH: Thank-you for allowing me to submit comments in regards to the proposed interim rule (74 FR 31906), to implement interim management measures to reduce overfishing of red snapper in the South Atlantic, by using www.keepoceanfishing.com, as many citizens like myself, know that you Mr. Crist, would want to do everything in your power to support current legislation (H.R. 3307) recently introduced by several members of the House of Representatives to direct our Secretary of Commerce to conduct a study of the South Atlantic red snapper fishery, and to limit the authority of the Secretary to promulgate any interim rule that prohibits fishing in the South Atlantic red snapper fishery in regards to determining the actual status of the red snapper population in the states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. |
